Check in & Equipment Inspection: 7:30 am  


Official Practice (minimum 2 ends): 8:30 am
First Round will begin after official practice.

REGISTRATION FEE
$50 for AZ State Master’s (early registration before April 12th, 2017)
$60 for non-resident Master’s (registered before April 12th, 2017)
$70 for late registration (Between April 12th – 15th, 2017)

Onsite registration will NOT be accepted. 50% refunds after April 15th, 2017. NO REFUNDS after April 20th, 2017.

Tables & benches are available on site. Please bring additional chairs and canopies as needed. There will be water provided for archers and a concession stand will be available for drink & snack purchases.

*Parking is provided in the paved parking area adjacent to the range and in the additional parking lot located to the NE. All vehicles must be parked in one of the designated parking areas. No parking is allowed on unpaved surfaces.
FORMAT
900 Round on 122cm target faces for Recurve & Barebow divisions* – Archers will shoot three (3) rounds at three (3) different distances. Each round will be 30 arrows (5 ends of 6 arrows).  There will be a break between the middle and short distances.

*Bales with only compound archers will use (2) 122 cm five ring center spot target faces. Lanes will be identified when tentative lane assignments are posted.

*Compound Para-VI archer will shoot at 30m on 60/80/122 cm target faces.

60 Meters
50 Meters
40 Meters

Bow Type:
Barebow or Genesis, Recurve Bow, Compound Bow
Age:
“Masters 50+”, (Born in or before 1967)
“Masters 60+”, (Born in or before 1957)
“Masters 70+”(Born in or before 1947)

Dress Code: Dress code that went into effect January 1, 2017 applies.

USA Archery Dress Code Policy 

The USA Archery Dress Code Policy applies to the following individuals when in front of the Spectator Line at USA Archery Sanctioned Events: (a) Athletes, coaches, managers, credentialed media, team officials, tournament officials, and archer agents.

Must present a professional, athletic appearance while on the field. (Torn, ripped or badly faded clothing articles are not allowed.) Clothing may be of any color, except as noted below.
No camo or blue denim (jeans) may be worn at target events. Accessories such as trim on shirts, caps, quivers, armguards, footwear, etc., are permitted to be camo. At field events, denim may be worn but camo may not be worn.
Shorts, skorts and skirts must not be shorter than fingertip length while standing normally. Leggings (tight fitting/yoga-type stretch pants) may be worn with compliant shorts, skorts or skirts.
Men and women are required to wear upper garments covering the front and back of the body and covering the midriff when at full draw. Women’s upper garments shall have a minimum strap of 3″ or sleeves. Men’s upper garments shall have short or long sleeves.
Shoes must cover the entire foot. Sport/athletic shoes are recommended to all athletes and coaches during target events.
At no time will any athlete or coach wear any article bearing any image or language to be considered offensive to others.

Camo Bows ARE ALLOWED

Championship Eligibility: USA Archery Membership listing Arizona as your residence is REQUIRED for you to be eligible for awards.  Guest are welcome to shoot the 900 rounds on Saturday, no award given.

Membership to USA Archery is REQUIRED and CURRENT: temporary membership for the tournament can be found here.  Be prepared to show membership card if asked.

Papago and USA Archery AZ are excited to be hosting the Inaugural AZ State Master’s Championships in 2017. The event will be a 900 round with three distances and is a Star FITA registered event.

Registration is now open for our 2016 Spring Papago 900. This event is being held on May 7th, 2016 at the Papago Archery Range. Registration for this event always fills up fast and lanes used by the varying divisions are determined based on a first come, first serve basis. Don’t wait, register today!

BEGINNERS ARCHERY COURSE (Spring Session 1)

The course is comprised of 3 class lessons designed to get you started in the sport of archery the right way. Each class is 90 minutes in length and the cost for course is $75 per archer.

The Beginners Archery Course is open to all persons 8 years old and up and we encourage parents to shoot with their children as archery is a great FAMILY activity. Classes cover safety, the beginnings of the National Training System (NTS – formerly the B.E.S.T. method) and Olympic Archery recurve equipment. All equipment needed for the class will be provided.

Class space is limited and will fill up fast. Registration for all courses is done online and when we reach the maximum number of participants (20 archers), the link will shut down.

Registration is now open for our 2nd Spring session of the Beginners Archery Course at the Papago Archery Range.

If you are interested in learning more about the sport of archery, but not sure where to begin…don’t worry, we have you covered! We offer beginner classes that are tailored for youth or adult. We provide all of the instruction and equipment and no previous experience is required.

Maybe you have a child or friend that is interested in learning more about the sport. Papago Archery Association has you covered. We offer beginner archery classes and they are starting in the Spring 2016.

Online registration for our first Spring session Beginners Archery Course is now open. The first class starts at 8am on March 13th, 2016.  Class sizes are limited to 20 archers, so make sure you register before the class fills up!

JOAD & Adult Archery Program Achievement Shoot

Join us the 1st Saturday of September for the monthly pin shoot during JOAD/AAP scheduled practice.

– Bow divisions include Barebow/Recurve & Compound.
– Target size is 122cm (or 80cm) for outdoor & 60cm (or 40cm) for indoor
– Distance is determined by the archer and is based on their next pin goal.
– 36 arrow round (6 ends of 6 arrows) – OUTDOOR
-30 arrow round (10 ends of 3 arrows) – INDOOR
