SUNDAY CLUB PRACTICE – CONTAINER OPEN

The equipment container will be open for practice this Sunday by 7:00 a.m.  All club members are welcome to come to the range and get some practice in for the week. Container will remain open until approximately  11:00-11:30 am.

Competitive Team JOAD/AAP will meet on the west side of the range for their weekly class. Time – TBD

*Session 6 of the Beginners Archery Course will be hosted on the east side of the range from 9-10:30am.

Holiday Potluck & Annual Board Meeting

Join us for our annual Holiday Potluck, Annual Membership Meeting and Targets & Tactics Fun Shoot!

7:30 – 8:30 AM – Arrive & set up potluck.
8:30 AM – Annual Membership Meeting with Q&A
9:00 – 11:00 AM- Targets & Tactics: The Halls of Terror Fun Shoot (registration link provided via email)
Clean up to follow the conclusion of the fun shoot.

All PAA club members are welcome to join in on the festivities.

Join the archers of Papago and help your party escape the Halls of Terror during the 4th installment of our Targets and Tactics fun shoot or spend some time shooting at your desired distance & target face.

Barebow Crew Shoot (Rock, Paper, Scissors)

All of the barebow  archers in the club are welcome to join in on our upcoming Barebow Crew shoot taking place during club practice on Satuday, 12/9/17 at 9am.  This is a free event and no pre-registration is required. Just show up to the range in time to get warmed up and ready to begin by 9am.

This month we’ll be playing a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.


Archers will be paired up for a head to head shoot off on custom rock, paper, scissors target faces. Each pair of archers will have a countdown for simultaneous release.  Matches will consist of a minimum of 3 ends. The archer that achieves the highest points per match will go onto compete in the next round. (Format will be similar to Round Robin style matches.)

Top 2 winners of the shoot will be named Bare Bow Crew Quarterly Champions and will have the honor of conceiving the next planned shoot.

December Pin Shoot (Indoor)

Come out and shoot to earn your next pin!

The December monthly pin shoot will be held during regular club practice. This shoot is open to ALL Papago club members (with current memberships).  This club level shoot allows archers an opportunity to experience a mock round of a tournament.

ONLY Indoor distances  will be shot during this pin shoot. Please arrive early enough to get equipment set up, warmed up and ready to begin official practice by 8:30AM.  **There will not be any make up arrows for late arrivals.

FORMAT
30 arrow round (3 arrows per end, 10 ends)
2 minute ends.
We will run an AB/CD line if necessary.
Whistle commands & timer will be used.

ADULTS / AAP
Barebow, Recurve & Compound shoot at an 18 meter distance with a 40cm target face. Compound archers use the inner 10 scoring.
Please review the scoring matrix below for your award levels.
AAP Indoor Matrix

YOUTH / JOAD
Barebow, Recurve & Compound shoot at either 9 or 18 meter distances depending on pin being earned. Target faces are either 40 or 60 cm for Recurve and Barebow. Compound archers use a 40cm target face and use inner 10 scoring for blue pin and above.

JOAD Indoor Matrix

NO pre-registration is required.
Those interested in receiving pin awards will turn in their score sheet at the end of the round.
